This company, with registered office in Vic, Spain, is engaged in the production of animal foodstuffs for pig consumption and the production and wholesale of pork meat. The animal foodstuffs section is carried out in three different plants of the Grup Baucells: the factory at Tona, Riudarenes in Girona and Sariñena in Huesca. Its centres for livestock production, or farms, are situated in different zones, in Catalonia, in the provinces of Barcelona, Girona and Lleida. The second largest is found in Aragon in the zone between Osca and Sarinyena and the small production site in East Hungary. The meat section key markets include Catalonia, and in the rest of Europe, Asia, Africa and America among others. The company is certified with the ISO quality certificate ISO 9001/2000, and the environmental certificate ISO 14001/1996. The company is also certified in passing the legal audit of prevention of risks in the workplace. Its mission is to produce quality pork meat with the maximum social responsibility. The company was formed in 2003 when the two companies, Pinsos Baucells S.A. and Jamones Vic, S.A., joined together with the aim of improving meat production, improving quality standards and respect of the environment. The production process becomes complete from the purchase of raw or prime materials to the selling of quality pork meat.
